Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to play?
No. Anyone can play community puzzles without signing in. An account is only needed to publish a puzzle, vote or report one.
Do community puzzles count toward my streak or stats?
No. Community puzzles never change your daily streak or your Chainle stats, so you can play as many as you like.
How is my score calculated?
With the same 0–1,000 meaning model as the daily game. The maker’s answer and the alternatives they accept earn full marks; any other word is scored on how strongly it connects to every clue. Read the scoring rules.
Can I edit a puzzle after publishing?
No. A published puzzle stays as it is. Open it from My puzzles and publish a new version, which replaces the old one.
What happens when I report a puzzle?
A moderator reviews your report and decides whether the puzzle stays up or is hidden. Reports never hide a puzzle automatically.
Is it free?
Yes. Playing, making and publishing community puzzles is free.
